While trying to sort my coins I've found a coin but I can't properly identify it.
Is this KM# 1103, 1000 dinar 1307 (1928)? Please help me identify it and valuate it.

Thank you in advance.

I don't know if it's genuine, but could we have the weight and the diameter ? 8)

Sorry for my late reply, I couldn't find my scale.  z|
The coin is 9,1 grams and 28 mm in diameter.
It's not magnetic.

Please have in mind that I don't own a fine jewelry scale...
I will try to calibrate my scale but with your help I'm on the right path. Even if it is genuine it would be a coin worth around 10-15 usd tops.
Thank you all for helping me.
looks fake

Yes, it looks fake.
Well, I cleaned it yesterday with the tin foil/baking soda method and it looks very shiny.
I should also find a good way to take pictures, as it doesn't look as good as in reality.
Placed the scale on another surface and it shows 9,2 grams.
If it is silver, does it mean it's an old fake? I've heard about fake coins made of silver but never had one before. Thank you all for helping me!

If you have a silver coin with about the same dimensions, you can do the 'ring'-test and compare it with the other silver coin.
The ring test is very simple:
put the center of the coin on your finger.
Tap the side of the coin with a plastic item (ballpoint, lighter...)
If you hear a clear sound that not directly disapears, it is probably fake.
A real silver coin has a very specific sound.
But by the looks of the coin, I think it is fake. The details are to rude to be genuine.
And even cleaned, I think it does not look silver.
To be really sure, you can always contact a juweler.

Could you explain the tin foil/baking soda method? Never heard of it.
Normaly coin should not be cleaned, most coin collectors do not like cleaned shiny coins.
But a coin like this, propably fake, I would not worry.

Thanks for your answer.
I know many collectors preffer the silver coins uncleaned, but because I'm not selling any of my coins... it's not that important. I like the silver coins to look shiny, I don't find the dark tarnish appealing so I clean them trying not to harm the metal.
I place the coin on tin foil inside a bowl, add baking soda and hot water. After a couple of minutes I take the coin out and rinse it with clean water. If it doesn't work the first time, I repeat the process.

I usually buy/receive circulated lots at a low price and I search for the goodies. I didn't try to clean other coins but silver.
I do have some other coins that are a bit rare and I don't intend cleaning them... yet. Maybe when I find the best way to clean coins without damaging them I'll give it a try.

Anyway, thank you all for helping me properly identify my (probably fake) coin.
I have no idea if the coin is fake or not, but have you tried the ice method to see if it is silver?

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
Marianci, have you tried toothpaste to rub in the coin?
Nailpolish remover works also to remove grease, without damaging the patina.
