i need your help to ID this coin.
i think that it is a hispano arabic coin but i'm not sure of it
all kind of help will be appreciate  ;)

silver, 19 x 18mm, 3.30gr

i'm quite sure that is not a dirham beacause it's too small.
maybe it could be a "quirate"

but for the ruler i have really no idea :snif:

i don't find the city of mawdud, are you talking about the city of of mawdudi in the north of afghanistan?

Sorry.  I should have been more clearer.  It is a medieval coin issued by the Ghaznavids under Mawdud, its ruler.  I, currently, don't have my reference books in front of me, so I don't know where it was minted.  But the Ghaznavids ruled around present-day afghanistan/pakistan. The category in Zeno has their coins and I suggest you look through them to find your coin...

now i see more clearly from where come this coin. :love:
the ruler is: 1041-1048 : Mawdûd Abû al-Fath
and the Ghaznavid Empire ruled on the modern afganistan, pakistin, east iran and north west india.

i though at the base taht it was from morroco but now it's much more better! :O
