What is the real difference watching the "prooflike" and the "matte" version? Without any comparison I'm unable to differenciate both, as I own only one.

I think the most difficult part is identifying the minting year in the hebrew calendar. After that, it's easier, except for a few situations as my example of "prooflike/matte".

Seems strange anyway... I was thinking that usual matte coins are more for proof sets, but both were varieties? Error or maybe a proof coin removed from a set?

I do not find it strange.
The same shiny/matte exists for other coins (dollarcent, euro's, groschen....)
These variations are not always recorded.
There is a difference between matte and 'frosted'.
Frosted coins are used for proof sets.
Frosted means that a part of the coins is matte on a shiny polished background.

Rijkdom bestaat niet uit het hebben van veel bezittingen, maar in het hebben van weinig behoeften
But by this way, you think that "prooflike" = frosted? In your photos there is only a shiny and a matte coin, no frosted one.

But my situation remains unsolved: look well the 5 agorot page: for the same year we have 'prooflike" and "matte". This remains unclear in my mind.
