Guatemalan 1 real, 1899/1909, silver, wrong lettering?

Recently acquired a quartet of Guatemalan coins ca. 1900 each with a tiny (~1mm) hole near the top of the obverse for use as jewelry or something. One 1/2 real, 1900, Niquel (nickel), and three 1 real coins. There is one of the later nickel version (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces4325.html), which is medal alignment so the date of 1901 is unobscured. But there are two of the smaller, lighter silver version (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces26172.html). These are coin alignment, so the holes very unfortunately pass through the reverse lettering. One has the "0.500         1900" reverse lettering as shown in the listing, but the other has no "0.500", only the date, centered, with a very clear last digit of "9", though the hole was punched through the first three digits. This was done on the Niquel version, but this coin is obviously identical to the silver one; plus, the silver version was minted in 1899, while no 1 real coins were minted 1909. Is this a known variation in lettering, or do I have something unusual? It certainly does not help that they are holed  ;(  but the coin does not appear altered in any other way.

(apologies no pictures, broken camera)
