Help identifying odd Iran Sassanian coin!!! [opgelost]

6 berichten
Hi everyone;
I've just found this Sassanian coin but it is somehow different from the others I've seen. It has some kind of writing on the back (instead of the usual fireplace and the two guards).
Can anyone please help me with the king,date and/or mint???
Thanks a lot.

The reverse is not unusual, if you rotate the reverse image by 90 degrees counterclockwise, you will see the two attendants (or guards) flanking a flaming altar in center. To the right of the right attendant is the mint mark. To the left of the left attendant is the date.  Not all Sasanian coins  have a date or mint mark

I am not able to clearly read the name of the king, but from the style of crown it seems to be that of Khusro II
The regnal year is 2 and the mint seems to be WYHC. As far as I know WYHC is not an identified mint site.

Thank you so much for your help. It's such a shame I couldn't see that!!!
There is a lot of wear on the coin which made it a lot harder to research and this is what I found, your coin seems to have a mixture of other coins, for example 2 thirds of the left side of the reverse matches this one...Hormazd IV

Yet the mint mark WHYC is not there and the obverse isn't even close.

Then you have this one which is Khusro II with matching mint mark

Obverse matches as well as the 2 thirds of the right side of the reverse,  from researching, I have sadly found  many counterfeits of this coin, as shown Here.

There is no identical match that I can find of your coin.

all my facts come from "rabid nerd research" online and you should take my response as the "messenger" passing on information collected. This does not mean my information is 100% correct.
