Zinc pattern of a 10 Centimes Belgian Congo coin?

5 berichten
I have this zinc piece and am not sure what it is.

It weights 2,48 g and is 22,2 mm in diameter like this coin https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3167.html
Similarities in design are also obvious.

The date on top is 1914 and at the bottom 1916. Please note that the figures of the date below are slightly smaller than on the Belgian Congo coin mint in Brussels, which makes me think that I have a zinc pattern struck in Birmingham in 1914 for future zinc 10 centimes coin of Belgian Congo, the coin which never went into production. Future 10 centimes coins were struck in Birmingham in 1917 and 1919 with smaller dates, but in copper-nickel. Was this a rejected metal try?

Has anybody seen such a pattern, maybe in some Belgian catalogue, or seen it sold at some auction?

Thanks!
Pity, that the listing in the library doesn't explain much, only that it is not the only piece.

Looks like a play token from the era, the lettering is too crude.
