Mysterious aluminum token, from India or Nepal?

Here's a little aluminum thing. It has no denomination that I can see so I assume it's a token. Unfortunately I can't read Devanagari, so beyond that I'm mystified. I know about temple tokens, but usually those are quite large, and made of more valuable metals. Is this simply a "modern" temple token?

It seems kind of similar to this token, but mine has no English text.
It's a temple token from this temple in India.... dated in English
