I have just put together an online quiz that challenges you to name the country that 161 different coins come from - but the country name is blurred out. I'm posting it here because you collectors are basically its target audience. Good luck!
I tried solving each one, and then decided to skip the ones that didn't instantly triggered a regional placing; but by that time I had consumed too much time.
You should allow misspellings, because sometimes I felt the need of looking at Numista's country list, but I didn't want to use any external help.

Lol, I didn't even realize it was timed until I was half way thru.
I must say, though, 20 minutes is really inadequate for 161 coins. That's less than 7.5 seconds per coin. Even if you knew all the answers, you also need to be able to type fast and have perfect spelling.

7.5 seconds should be ample time on average. How long does it take to type names like tonga, peru, china, usa, etc? a second or two a most. The timer is good because if you know it's south America you can't just sit there typing all the countries until you find the right one.

I would have made it 30 minutes, but 20 is the maximum allowable time limit for quizzes on Sporcle. Fortunately, Sporcle has many other quizzes that will allow you to perfect your country-name spelling

You got thru the same 120 and were able to identify 30 less than I, while having typed less. Maybe I'm getting old, but it takes me a while to spell out the likes of myanmar, afghanistan, kyrgyzstan, sao tome and principe, papua new guinea, czech republic, switzherland, etc.
I gave it another try and was able to identify 23 of the remaining 40, without taking any 2nd guesses.

I was also unaware it was timed at first and I was doing it in between registering documents at work. as for identifying 30 less....I said that I don't collect anything post 1945 so many of the modern countries I didn't recognize and had to go by coats of arms ot national symbols.

Did the whole test with did all the ones I knew for sure, had 5 minutes to spare so I went back and did some that I knew they were south America and Africa and did a hit and miss approach by typing in random country names, I got 73/161, again not too bad since I don't collect modern coins.
Aww I use the Internet mostly in phone, so even though I love quizzes I give this one a miss at moment, because to type stuff fast and everything in phobe is more challenging and not as easy. I will get to it sometime in computer.

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
Ran out of time and stumped on some of the Arabic currencies.
Good quiz I think.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Citeer: "ngdawa"I got 158/161. There were only three I didn't know, but one felt really familiar.
What was it?
[Spoiler alert!]
The unbeatable trio was:
▪ Guyana - I really had it on the tip of my toungue but couldn't force it out.
▪ Saint Kitts and Nevis - which I should've noticed on the map, but I really couldn't place it.
▪ Trinidad and Tobago - the CoA was familiar, but I was really lost here.

I don't remember a COA - is there a new quiz for me to take and pass the quarantine time?
