Is it a Japanese coin? I cannot find it in the catalog.

As easy.dog has mentioned, they are Japanese (note the hiragana on both sides) but not a coin, rather a modern interpretation of a charm; no such design has existed in the past, since almost all Japanese charms and coinage were in seal or regular script, albeit very thin calligraphy.
