As some of you may know I have updated the Aussie Decimal coins on Numista. I have put a lot of time into doing this and I'm pleased with the result. Most of my requests have been validated and published promptly. However some have not.
Not sure why some get validated and published and some don't, especially when they are part of a pair such as the 20 cent Australian Banknotes coins, (KM#1961 & KM#1962). I uploaded these at the same time and only one has been published (KM#1961)
These are the coins I have uploaded that have not been published yet. Some of these I did quite some time ago and some of them, except the 2014 and all of the 2015 ones, already have KM#'s

Citeer: jelleWow they love coins in Australia haha, which KM number are you in Australia?
You are right .. I actually think that the Royal Australian Mint has been overdoing the NCLT coin issues a bit too much lately. When each coin costs between $10 and $15 to buy from them and they put out 73 coins so far this year with more to come it is getting very very expensive.
At the moment the highest Australian KM# I have seen is KM#2094 ... (RAM coins only)

I have only had time to validate change requests to current coin pages but no time for publishing new coin page requests. That's why most requests validating are for changes not new additions. However I will be retiring as the referee soon so one of the catalog administrators with more time should be able to validate and publish the pages for you.

Thanks elvis ... Appreciate what you do .. I'm sure it is not an easy task and can be quite time consuming.

Just wondering when one of the "catalogue administrators" with more time will be able to validate and publish the 86 Australian decimal coins I have uploaded? They are all there with perfectly good personal photo's of the actual coins, good descriptions, tech details, additional information etc.
Cheers Mike

Still waiting for 86 Australian Coins to be validated and published.
I have to say I put in a massive effort to get these coins updated. I spent many many hours of my personal time getting good pictures, editing them, uploading them, researching about the coins and putting in information about them.
I know what I have done is perfectly ok, informative and correct. To say I am frustrated is an understatement.
How long does it normally take to get coins validated and published?
Cheers Mike

I think that's a very big understatement. I know how much time it takes to make proper change requests. And I'm already waiting since 13 may on a Brazilian request. The referee for Brazil didn't even open several messages about this request.
High time to take action about inactive referees or more and more people get frustrated and lose interest in making new change requests.

Hello,
I understand that you are frustrated. I can assure you that all of the time and effort you put into the requests and I can assure you that it will not be lost. However, as I have said before I have retired as referee for Australia and Canadian Provinces and I have found replacements but the official changes have not gone through yet. I will look into this and see when the changes will be made.
YAY! ... Well finally it has happened. All of the coins I have uploaded have now been validated.
The RAM Australian Decimal Coins are now right up to date except for a couple of new releases that I have yet to obtain. (But will have them soon).
Big thankyou to Eitan who is the new referee for Australia. He has done a great job working thru all of the requests I put in. Hope it didn't give you too much of a headache Eitan. (Especially those 2013 & 2014 AFL Coins lol)
There are a couple of duplicates which need to be cleaned up and when that is sorted I will make sure that we keep on top of any new coins.
Cheers Mike

I'm getting a copy of the Renniks catalogue of Australian and New Zealand trade tokens, so if anyone wants hand with IDs, values or details for uploading to the catalogue I'm happy to help.

haha, thanks. And thanks for helping me identify the duplicates and help me improve the catalog.
