I have a friend of mine that had invested awhile back from one of the big precious metal companies "Goldline"and bought somewhere around $5500USD in UNC 1964 and 1964D Kennedy .900 Silver Half Dollar Coins that have remained in the original tubes all this time. She has no idea what to do right now and has no health insurance and is having a time due to a lot of medical issues. I wanted to post this to see if there would be anyone that would be willing to purchase any quantity of these in a way to help raise some money so that she can see her doctors she needs but cannot afford. She had also thought about putting them on Ebay but I know how much they take out in fees and with no job or insurance any bit can help her out right now .
Because of the cost of registered international mail the buyer will be responsible for the shipping cost unless a large order is placed. If you are in the USA we can work something out since Domestic mail isn't as bad. I do want to say again these are some amazing BU coins she has both the Denver and Philly ones and they have been inside the tubes since she bought them so they haven't even hardly been handled. Each tube contains 20 coins and she is willing to sell them at 10 USD each or$200 a roll which is not a bad deal considering the quality of the coins and it is below book value.
A little more about her she has spent the past 20 plus years training service dogs for disabled veterans and that is how I met her. This is a very expensive process and she had been doing it all out of pocket for years until it bankrupted her and now she is very ill and unable to work which leaves her with no health insurance which she desperately needs. Even through all this she is currently in the midst of helping me out with getting one of her service dogs at no cost as I am a Iraq and Afghanistan vet that is completely disabled and don't have the money to pay for one. Once I heard about her situation and found out about her coins that is when I figured since she is helping me out so much I could reach out to some of the you guys on here and hopefully you can help raise some money for her so she can see the doctor through selling some of the coins. Please let me know if your interested in helping out this wonderful lady that has given so much to so many others.
Sincerely,
Matt
This is why this guy is my friend folks. You can be absolutely confident in buying from Matt who I know personally and can say that he is honest to the core.
I need more JFK 1/2's like I need a hole in the head but I'll chip in some for a good cause. Might take me a while to get around to it because I've been on a buying spree and my name is Mudd in the Nightingale household but I'm guessing they will be available for quite some time.
Please pass along my very best wishes to this wonderful young lady for a full and speedy recovery.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.
Make Numismatics Great Again!
Citeer: "pnightingale"What a wonderful thing to do.

I'm down for 4 coins, putting my money where my mouth is, as discussed last night.
Come on folks, let's show this lady some Numista community love.
I'll offer a gift of $1 worth of coins of your choice from my pretty extensive swap list for every coin you buy, US lower 48 only I'm afraid. (Sorry Johnny Foreigner, can't afford the shipping) Buy 5 coins and pick yourself a nice silver coin or an early copper., buy them all and pick what you want! There's some good stuff in there.

That is really nice of you! Unfortunately, 1964 half dollar rolls are the last thing I need, since while roll hunting the other day, I found a full roll of silver JFKs. However, If there are many left over from other members, I would be happy to make a donation.
I don't think the postage to NZ or our horrendous exchange rate at the moment would make it worthwhile to buy any, however if you're collecting the money for her and have a paypal account I'll send a donation your way.

I haven't thought of that but it would be a very great thing to do if you would like to donate to her you can gift the money to paypal so it won't get any fees and just place in the comments donation for Laura. If you would like to donate send me a Private Message and I will give you the details. Thank you for the idea!
Citeer: "kolikko99"And this is one of many reasons why you shouldn't vote for republicans.
To each their own but ObamaCare turned her down while democrats are cutting funding to veterans left and right which would help veterans get service dogs and additional medical treatment so kind people like her don't have to put their own finances on the line, but I would appreciate it if we could keep the politics out of this I am just trying to help someone who has helped many and could use a little bit in return.
I wanted to thank Derf for his support today and placing and order to help bring Laura closer to being able to at least make a appointment with her Pulmonologist. If any one else needs any information about purchasing these half dollars or other information about helping out please feel free to email me about any of them.

us banking is all about fees, like all the business around here... but you could set a transfer for 3 business days at 3$ fee. That could be the cheapest way, or paypal, or if by chance both of you use the same bank the transfer can be for free believe it or not ;)

@justforfun yes i was shocked. Maybe i am too spoiled by european banking systems where it costs ZERO.
@myeackle could you please find out how much a letter with with ~ 90 gr (6 coins) cost to europe?? I will find out how much the transfer costs exactly. Since i am on holiday as of tomorrow there is no hurry.
