Hi. I used to collect coins by year but 2.5 years ago when I had about 10000 pieces in my collection, and probably about 1000-2000 doubles I decided to collect by type only. What once used to be organized collection turned into complete mess and I am still not done reorganizing my collection. I have way too many doubles. Besides all those on my swap list I prob have about 3000 that are not on the swap list yet. Those are in random boxes, jars, bags, drawers, under closet, in other room... I got to the point that swapping is not pleasurable anymore because I have to spend way too much time looking for coins that people are asking for.
I would love to get rid of some of the doubles. If anybody needs those cheapest German, Italian, French, Canadian... that I have many on the swap list, please take some away from me :)
Please select up to 50 coins and I will send it to you for free if you live in USA. If you don't live in USA you pay shipping only through paypal.
I would love some free coins for a numismatic presentation I am doing in a school next year. Please send me your most unloved unwanted coins and they will be sure to make a kid happy!
That's a really nice gesture. The coins you are describing are exactly the type of coins that ALLRED1950 collects. For sure the German Federal Republic coins. I'm sure he still has plenty of gaps to fill.
He isn't able to access the site right now but I'd be happy to pass this most kind offer along to him if you are agreeable.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

Thanks all. I already prepared 4 packages which I will send on Monday. I will give my best to respond to as many people as I can but please allow me some time to do it.
I don't envy you the task of cutting down your collection. Trying to decide which one to keep and which to discard from some types of coins is like being asked to choose between two of your children sometimes.

It's really quite nice to see something like this after the recent contretemps, well done feller. I hope you are feeling the warm glow of approval from your fellow collectors.
