Be sure to check every field on new requests. Some mistakes are easily overlooked. And you'd be surprised with some crazy stuff you might find in requests. Some users like to "test" Numista members. I once found on a very old Venezuelan request (I was granted referee stats recently) and in a part of some very detailed text "...thou I am sure the referee won't even read all this...". So I laughed and partially validated it with comment "Yes I read it". And then simply edited the sheet and pasted the text minus the prank part.

Also (Not sure if it was you) Don't accept coins for countries that have a referee. I had two that were not accepted for a long time as I had discussed with the owner that they will be added when he adds pictures to them. Some moderator accepted them yesterday.

Seriously apuking? Don't you think an entry without a picture of the coin but with all the other details is better than one with out? I don't understand this mentality.
I have a Phoenician cities coin that was rejected for over a year because the "referee" didn't like my coin. Even though I had a picture of it, he thought the coin wasn't looking good enough for a picture. He said I needed to find another picture.
Yes, I will grant that the coin was worn. But I was the one that found it, paid for it, took a picture of it and uploaded it, all in my own spare time, only to have it rejected because I apparently didn't spend enough money to by a better example of the coin (which while not rare is not common).

The French-side (the personnel) of Numista tends to be more strict in terms of what they accept and what they don't. I had an altercation with a Team member a year ago as he rejected over 50 submissions I made because they didn't have pictures (but they did have detailed information). So I learned to deal with it and I don't submit requests unless I know there is a referee for that country as most of them don't mind picture-less submissions.

I Don't reject these but yes usually I kindly ask the user if he could add pictures, some people just don't have the tools or necessary means and thats ok. If they say yes they will add some pictures, then yes I will usually wait for them to add them.
Before 70% of newly added coins were without pictures, after kindly asking its around 25%.
