Just ask for translations. Even referees have no right to create a translation, only team members. That's why, instead of creating like this, I preferred asking my tutor before creating a new currency and it was just yesterday.
By this way I'm asking for making translations for Gaul which is full of French-speaking terms: the tribe names to be used in English are the Latin ones (Leuci, Mediomatrici, Treveri, etc...). All city names from French and Wallon cities are kept in French. The only issues are from now foreign cities like Trier instead of Trèves, for example.

I believe the guidelines call for English, everything it is a french site. Otherwise I could have done the descriptions on Spanish, of anyone else in their native language.
The real issue is, like nalaberong said, all creations from one side appear in the other side without any translation. Only few people, like me, think about translating their own creations in both sides, including new files. However, in the case of creating a new country or currency, we should need to add a mandatory translation tool (asking the author to translate himself or allowing an automatic translation, for example).

1. It is not difficult for you to propose the translation. So propose, don't just complain
2. As is said before, the words are in the language the coin was created if the referee does not translate. Many are not bilingual but translating titles is easy. I think they should do it

I think only team members have the rights to translate a currency which name has just been created. It was the same about creating a country, according to the time required to translate similar names. How much time did we need to translate Newfoundland by Terre-Neuve? If we didn't ask the team for translating country or currency names, we can't.
By the way, I needed to ask Xavier to split Metz coinage between municipal coinage and bishopric coinage. I gave him all details I needed for translating both names. The result is here: thanks to Xavier, now we have Metz (city) and Metz (bishopric). I'm quite sure I wouldn't be able to do so without asking him.
