First why Gregorian Calendar for BC coin if there I can choose BC on the list.
Second obv and rev I took from http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/greece/bithynia/kings/prusias_II/t.html
"Prusias II, King of Bithynia. 182-149 BC. AE 21mm. Wreathed head of Dionysos right / BASILEWS PROUSIOU, Centaur walking right, playing a lyre; WVHP monogram right. RecGen 26, monogram 8; BMC 14." So why delete BASILEWS PROUSIOU ?
Third I see here http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sg/sg7266.html the same "useless" references that I gave before. Rec Gen 26, SNG Cop 635. and mine was RecGen 26, monogram 8, SNG Cop 635ff so really useless ?
Fourth Nobody is an expert in all things BUT I understand that being nice cost a lot...
I think about the calendar that, if BC calendar is really for Before Christ, you should invert minting years. I've no more idea about this. Furthermore, your minting year range is wrong as for now (we can see your page as well) you wrote the minting year range from BC to AD (add the minus symbol in both Gregorian minting years).
However I mainly agree with you as the lettering should remain in ancient Greek. There is a zone for real lettering and another for writing translations, is this separation useless? No. And when you do NOT have GCV references, is that a reason to deny the coin to enter the catalog? No. Moreover, the new multi-catalog system is here for a right reason. If these references are really useless, just ask for deleting them from the catalog list!
To conclude, being a referee is not easy for everyone, and I'm the 1st to say I'm not an expert too, even in my own country. But in his request, there is nothing I would consider enough rude to protest against. Maybe a few blunders but nothing more.
