Metal detecting finds

8 berichten
I want to know if any metal detector enthusiasts have found any good or interesting coins this year that they've added to their collection. I've only found a 2015 5 Bani Romania coin in Georgia on the beach. I wish I could metal detect foreign countries and find the really neat stuff; the 213 years of United States history isn't enough to peak my interest.
I hope other numismatists had some good finds this year they want to share :`

Haha thanks I sometimes forget there's a search bar.
You cannot imagine how frustrating is for a Brazilian metal detector, those are my coin finds since january, our country is relatively new, no ancient bits, no much silver coins in the past, and I live away from the beach, those are land and farm and old park finds, the best coin was a 1869 40 réis, but for some reason the soil here tottaly ruins most of the coins, so none goes to my collection.

I like MD anyway.

I know the feeling, have lots of (Willem I one cents) in the same state!
Cents are money too!
My Detectors are sitting gathering dust, I can't use it any more now I am "physically challenged", I am in the Midlands in England where a huge amount of German bombs were dropped, this means there could be almost anything ready to be found literally anywhere you can dig.

I started to lose the use of my legs only about 1 week after I bought all the gear ironically, I bought 2 detectors, a garret and another for my son (Who turned out to be far too impatient for metal detecting)

I have some of the finds that I haven't cleaned up yet.

Which detector do you recommend?
