Citeer: "Mark240590"that's the B mint mark Roy. On Indian coins of the time it was usually a dot too :)
Happy New Year Mark.
Normally if the mint mark is a Dot the Krause shows it as (B) or (b). What I find confusing is that I have a 1924 coin with a Dot on it but Krause does not show it as 1924B. Is this just another Krause inconsistency?

Happy new year to you too Roy.
How strange, I don't have my book to hand right now maybe I'll have to do some digging. I've not seen B mintmark on any other coins than the British trade dollar though :S I'll be back in touch later about it :)

Citeer: "numismaticroy"According to Krause this year should have a B mint mark but I can't find it. Do I need to go to Specsavers and get some new glasses?
Roy
That's a real doozy of a coin, Roy. I love the early 20th c. colonials and that is a beautiful example.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
Roy, that is the real spirit for collecting!
It gives me pleasure to find all possible information on 'older' coins.
I learned a lot about culture, politics, kings rulers....
I hope this year will bring you a lot of interesting coins!
