I'm positive it is of Indian origin, but I can't ascertain the ruler.
Please help me out?

Seems Indian-style coinage, you're right. But not sure which ones to check... Try India - British or Indian states to begin.

It is 1 Rupee coin of India - Mughal Empire - Muhammad Shah (Shahjahanabad mint)

The regnal year is at the bottom of the right hand image
The AH date is at the top of the left hand side image but only 17xx are visible. Rest of the digits are off the flan.

On these coins is the AH date used8)
So the date will be AH1159 or AH1160 (1746 or 1747)

​You are right PetrusAscanus. Thanks for pointing out the mistake. Dont know what I was thinking when I typed 17xx instead of 11xx x.
