First - i looked through Zeno and there are no elephants on the great mongols coins.
Second - now that i look at the picture ... i don't see an elephant. It could be a trident tamgha of some sort like the many types here: http://www.zeno.ru/showgallery.php?cat=1214
Third - it could be an upside down thingy that looks like an elephant ! http://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=22777 Put side A upsidedown and it looks like an elephant :D
Looks like the coin in the same folder you have is being sold by large coin dealer Littleton, which prides itself on guaranteeing genuine coins even if they can be lax in grading coins and love to overcharge. But they have been in business a long time.
The elephant is not fully matching with this one, more with Coinman48 link. However his reverse side is too much worn on the link to check it well.
