We (me and my wife) are thinking about our vacations
And now our short-list to traveling consist of two countries: Georgia and Armenia
Time: middle of April (15-25)
We like to walking, sightseeing, eating and drinking local foods
What are you think about?
Georgia or Armenia? Tbilisi or Erevan?
I have to apologize for my mean comment in advance, but I can't resist.... Do you think with the avatar like yours Georgia would be a better choice? Why don't consider Turkey, Syria or Egypt as well if money is not the case?
Gordon Gekko: Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy? It's the free market.
Sorry to hijack your thread - but surprise, you can still be proud of your country without boycotting the countries it is not especially friendly with!
I don't know enough about Georgia or Armenia to comment on either but if beautiful scenery is your thing and you feel like something quite different from the normal tourist fare, try the area which used to comprise Yugoslavia. Outside of the awful urban sprawl it's an area blessed with some of the world's most wonderful views and as it'd not a typical first choice destination it's inexpensive and almost empty. (or at least it was, things have been turned upside down in that region)
I had a long weekend there in the 70's and was so impressed that I immediately wanted to go back again. If you get bored by all the majestic solitude you are only a short trip away from the splendours of Ancient Greece.
Non illegitimis carborundum est. Excellent advice for all coins.

lol! There are only 3 friendly countries left: Zimbabwe, Belarus and North Korea... isn't it something to be proud of?!
I apologize again to all Numista members for bringing politics into the conversation. Can't help meself...

You are confusing individuals with their governments.

The government over there is "elected" by 90% of the individuals. I was born in Soviet Union almost 50 years ago and I know what I'm talking about.
