Question Regarding Mexican Banknotes

Before I consign these to the "kitchen floor project" I was wondering if these have any substantial value to anybody either as currency (is it still possible to exchange these at the bank in Mexico?) or as collectables? (the banknotes, not the improvised paperweights!)



As a matter of curiosity, can anyone tell me their approximate value in $US prior to their withdrawal?

Umm, this one actually got demonetized in 1993, when the new peso came out, but you can still exchange it in the bank, you just take out three zeros out and that's the value (1 peso,5 pesos and 1 peso again) which makes them not really worth for the collectors more than 10 pesos or 20

I guess a lot of people who were left holding these notes got pretty badly screwed over by their government.
