Any idea of value? I know absolutely nothing about ancients

nobody have any idea?
Kanye give me the mintmark as I cant get your picture to expand.
It looks like CON? Which would make it Constantinople. If there is a letter before CON then it will be Arles.
Unfortunately a lot of this coinage is inexpensive despite it being so old, once I can identify what and where then I can give you a reasonable value.
I deny nothing but doubt everything, opinions are made to be changed, how else is the truth to be gotten at.
it doesn't look like a letter before con, but it does look like something after it

see if this works better

Your coin is listed as " scarce " but the condition is not the best unfortunately.
I have found a couple of very nice examples and they are asking for around $200, with the condition of yours not being great I would say that the price is going to be significantly lower.
I would estimate that on the open market it should realise between $20 - $40 and if more than 1 need it to fill a gap it could hit the higher end.
Condition is important with these coins and unless it is a serious rarity the value can seem pathetic.
www.wildwinds.com - scroll down to Constantinople and look for RIC 79 (b).

Right, so if I got it for $2 then that's a decent price then ;)
