Freaked out 5c 1985 Netherlands

4 berichten
I have this Dutch 5c that really stands out from the bunch.

Normal diameter: 21- mine has 20
Normal weight  : 3.5 g - mine is 1.72
Normal thickness: 1.45 - mine is 0.75

It's like it has been made with half size planchet. It has print on both sides (of course) - but the design is understandably a bit shallower.

Anyone got previous experiences on this kind of error-coin? Is this the kind of variants that fetch dollars - in that very narrow market that's into these things?

PS. when taking the pictures, I thought this was the correct rotation and that the coin was off as well, but seing the coin on numista - i guess i was wrong and the the obverse should be rotated -90 anticlockwise.

Your picture is correct, the pictures on the Numista catalog aren't. The Queen of the Netherlands really isn't with her face down to the ground.
But of course the mistake is easy to understand because in the 90 degrees turned position the text is upright.
Really? That means that in addition to being half size - my coin really _is_ rotated the way the numista picture show! That's why I believed it in the first place, although I thought that it was a very strange design decision to have the queen facing downwards.

Cool - coin is half size and also 90 degrees rotated - I like it :-)

[Edit]: Seems like the picture in numista is actually correct. The queen actually faces downwards on the coin.
