I'm not sure about the date. The date on the picture at the coin page is VS (19)40 (1883). The only "40" I can see on that coin is within the red circle:
The problem is, the "4" is in Hyderabad Arabic and the "0" seems to be in Arabic, although in Arabic a "0" is more a diamond (a "0" in Hyderabad Arabic looks like our "0", so the "0" on this coin looks more like an Arabic "0").
There are 18 different dates for this coin. So it's also a very big coincidence that the date on your coin is exactly the same as the date on the picture at the coin page. So I might be totally wrong that the "40" I see is the date.
