Hi,

I've started to document the Uzbekistan coins, based on this site,
http://yuk.su/nis/uz.htm . I've got Yuri's permission to use his images and texts. Thanks Yuri.

Here you'll see that the SCWC and Numista are a bit behind the reality of the found types! There are even more sub-types than I've put into the documentation, but they are so fine, that Yuri and I thought it would be too much to digestB.

Amazing finds by Yuri, right?

:8D a bit of work to determine the exponential number of combinaisons :D
and .. it might be the same mess for other values ...

Yes, I've been on the 20 tyin today and haven't finished so far:. 11 variants and all documented correctly!

Nevertheless the types given in the SCWC are NOT really convincing, are they?

I remember having got some troubles with sunrays variations of "the door of the East" coins B.
At least your picture is comprehensive on this point.

Welcome to the jungle.... B)
I can only agree with you, but the images are there, so we will have to find a way to live with those facts as well!
Keep an open mind?

Fantastic job Ole, as always. Congratulations.
It is always much better to have variants described and have option to disregard them, than having them disregarded beforehand. Now it is everbody's choice to collect or not to.

To be honest, to me it's the varieties likes these that makes coin collecting interesting, and with you're pictures (which are awesome!!) it makes it much easier to determine which varieties you got.
Thanks!

Edit: Please not that the subunit is called Tiyin (Тийин) in Uzbek! Not to confuse with the Kazakh name Tïın (Тиын) or the Kyrgyz Tıyın (Тыйын).

The 20 and 50 tyin coins are next, but Yuri and I are still discussing about the 20 tyin....

Hi,

thanks, you know, when you have started wrong with Tyin in the first it goes through all of them. I have modified the presentations to tiyin, do you want me to make new change requests to get them correct?

I don't know mate, I don't think it really matters, but if you have changed it in your documents we could just swap the pics as well..but if it's too much trouble you can just leave it as it is..
