Oh yea, they are definitely fakes. I'm just trying to work out where/when they are from! (and shall use this item to cheaply test out some of my new testing toys)
They weigh too much to be cu-ni though. You expect fakes to weigh less not more - A similar example is the 1877CC trade dollar of which the best counterfeits are 17-18g and have around 20.5 silver content. (The real one is 38mm, 27.22g if i recall correctly.)
It's certainly not a crude counterfeit based on the detailing, and it'd be a weird coin/date to counterfeit anyway as it's not THAT valuable. So on the one hand you have the terrible weight/size variation, and on the other a pretty good amount of detailing and not much motivation to forge it (not that badly anyway)
