I'm pretty sure this isn't a Canadian token if I have time before I go away I'll check the Charlton catalogue but I'm quite sure there's nothing there for this one and I'm sure it's only Irish.

Just checked my Charlton Canadian Colonial Tokens and found many "similar" Obverses and Reverses but definitely no pairing of the two.
1. In 1817 the government (Nova Scotia) ordered the removal of all halfpenny tokens by 1820. Of course, nothing was done to provide an alternate supply so attempts began once more to do so privately. (pg. 75)
2. In 1825 a halfpenny token was struck on Canadian order but the currency regulations enacted in 1825 forbade further importation of private tokens into Canada. However, nothing in the regulations interfered with the importing of tokens dated before 1825. As you can well imagine, many private issues were antedated to get around the regulations. (pg. 157)
Hoping this is helpful

I wouldn't go as far as VG, for a coin to be VG aren't all aspects of the design are supposed to be present? That one has a big bald spot right in the middle of the reverse. I would go G
