Citeer: "druzhynets"Next weekend (13-14.08.2016) I will be visiting Milan, Italy.
If anyone is interested in swapping or buying any coins from my swap list, feel free to contact me.
Also I would be grateful for any information about numismatic shops / markets with good prices in Milan.
Regards,
O.D.
I'm often in Italy, been almost everywhere, one conclusion: coins in Italy (all kind off) are outreagously expensive.
In all fairness and no offence intended to my co-nationals, if the italians see a stranger trying to buy a coin, its price will increase exponentially. At one point i was looking at some coins at an antique market with my father, we had so far only spoken english. The seller immediately tried to sell me a napoleon III 5 centimes as an antique roman coin. The price of the coin i was looking at also miraculously doubled the reasonable sell price on eBay. I left rapidly. A second seller tried to sell me a well known fake of a silver 20 lire for the price of a real coin. after a few choice words to tell him that i was not as "sproveduto" as he thought i left again. this is not to say there are no good deals to be had, i bought an aUNC san marino 1935 silver 10 lire for 5 euros in Arezzo and a 1904 2 lire in pissignano for 10 euros.
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!
I am stopping to collect coins.
If you will arrive also in Rome for Jubilee i have more than 300 coins of SanMarino to sell.
Look at my profile to see them.

Visit this Coin and collectors market: every sunday morning I mentioned in out goings.
Prices are less than in shops and huge offer, starting from old italian ones till modern 2 euros.

Every single coin on the world should meet its collector!
Pity there is no like button to push on loruca's post....but it's same here in Romania:)
Strange foreigner non-speaking romanian, would've been asked for price x5
Person speaking romanian, but never seen at the show, price x3
Person speaking romanian,seen earlier,price x2
Person being friend of the dealer, already having some deals with the dealer=price x1:)
Like, once i went to antique market with a friend...she researched a lot of coins, and she been asked for 90 lei(7 USD)...then i came next, and the dealer been like "hey, why you didn't said you are together...it's not 90 but actually well...we can make it for 50 lei ...or,almost 50% of discount)
Citeer: "kommodore"Guys? I'll travel to Milan and Bergamo in august. Any interesting fairs/coin shops?
I found these on the forum:
Via Torino, 2
Coin market (every Sunday)
Located in several streets in Milano: Via Armorari, Via Cantu
It's one of the biggest flea markets in Europe. There are a lot of coins there!
I've been to Milan last August and there was some religious holiday, that's why that coin market wasn't as crowded as I would have expected.

I think this situation is common for all countries and especially in touristic places.
