The Kalima appear on squares in Shah Jahan coins as well, it isn't unique to Sher Shah coins. In fact it would make sense that Shah Jahan would imitate the Timurids because he openly claimed his ancestral lands in Samarkand and Bukhara (the former being Shahrukh's capital during the 15th Century):
