1st is definitely from Iran, radrick007 is right. Try and use the calendars in Numisdocs to get the date and go from there...however it might be a new year's medal.

I actually just came across the 2nd coin, its from the same country, it's 1 santeem, I just need to figure out the years on them now. Thank you.

Another howler! Although the Ethiopian lion rampant does look similar to the sword holding lion of Iran. Oh well! It is early.

okay, I finally got it straight.
the first coin is 5 santeem from 1944.
the second coin is 50 santeem from 2008.
