I just recently found out about this site and started using it this last weekend to catalogue my collection. This is really an outstanding website. I am very impressed with the layout and the thought that went into designing it as well as all the work that you members have done to make it what it is today. Really a great resource, thanks so much to whoever thought this up and made it happen.
I do have one suggestion though. For our collection data (the world map page) it would be cool to have some percentage data like (You have coins from 65% of all countries, 96% of all Asian countries, 74% of all European countries, etc.). Seems like something that would be doable although I understand that any change is a major pain and expense so this is just an idea.
While I welcome you, and wish you very best on the site, let me give you beginner advice. Any idea, nevermind how good, takes several months if everything is alright to take place.
On the other hand, referees are constantly working to make catalogue part of the site the very best in the world.
I was just throwing the idea out there. If it is something that others would like and can be added to a future update, whether 1 year or 5 years from now, that would be really cool. If it never happens this will still be an outstanding website for numismatists.
Welcome to Numista! I'm sure you'll enjoy the features and communication with most of us here.
If you have any suggestions to improve Numista, it is better to post them in a separate thread under Numista website forum section and mark as "My message is an idea to improve Numista" (there is a checkbox under the message area).
I also suggest your read the forum section on Numista website and improvement requests. Many many things were already suggested by users before, and get buried under newer requests. Look at "suggestions for Numista", there are tons of "opened" topics.
So if you like one, add a comment, a "like", and that will make it come on top of the pile again, and make it more likely to happen .
Regards, and happy collecting !
