Do not argue with ignorant people .. !! They will drag you down to their level, then pulverize you with experience ...
Citeer: "COINMAN1"Does that mean it does not have a face value, thus is not a coin?
I do not see a face value on the coin ..
Basically, but it's value is what ever 0.25oz of gold can be sold for.
If you consider a coin only those that are used as common currency, then no, it's not a coin. I believe in the Numita realm, it would be considered a bullion token listed in **Exonumia**

Well, I guess it will have to be done under UAE, and hope for the best. Have 13 items waiting for validation, so another one will not matter.
Until I looked at your profile, I did nor realise how far you are from the UK

Sure it does .. people just changed the numbering a few times along the way ...
Of my 20yrs in the US Army, the first 10 was spent as an avionics technician and the last 10 as a calibration technician/supervisor. I retired in 1985 as an E7 (Sergeant First Class; SFC).

Did you serve all around the world? I worked in the aircraft (non military) and I also did calibration. This was mostly of tooling required to build the aircraft.
Hope you got a lot of medals. I love military stuff. Have my grandfather's and dad's medals displayed in my office at home.
I did my fair share and part of somebody else's traveling ... Same with the medals ..
My father spent 30yrs in the navy. Had all his medals, but that was the time the military used precious medals and someone decided they needed them more than I did ...

This is an official bullion coin.
"The UAE Gold Bullion Coins were designed by Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, a government of Dubai entity and the region’s largest commodities authority."
Yours should be from the 1st edition, you can add it under
** Exonumia ** - Bullion - United Arab Emirates
And I will gladly accept it and create other sheets for the other weights. thanks a lot!
EDIT: All denominations have been added as well, in addition to the 2009 series.
I find it a bit surprising that the technical data does not match these of the 2nd issue (2012).
I'm assuming you are sure about the measurements you entered for this coin.
The weight and size on the website for these issued in 2012 are different hence my confusion.
I've got the answer. It's in 22 karat gold and not 24k. Hence the ASW is the same.
"The DMCC launched the UAE’s first souvenir commemorative gold coin series in September 2007 known as the ‘Visions of Dubai’, which is minted by Emirates Gold. The coin comes in 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 troy ounce sizes and has the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s (UAE vice president) face on the front and Dubai’s landmark hotel, Burj Al Arab, on the back. It was initially minted as 22k coin, but in October 2009 it was changed to 24k (9999). In 2009, DMCC launched its second edition of the ‘Visions of Dubai’ series with a new image of Sheikh Mohammed’s face on the front and Dubai’s landmark real estate project, Palm Jumeirah, on the back"
To seem to have had to do a great deal of investigation into this item. May I take this opportunity to thank you for all of your efforts in obtaining all of the information and for validation of my original request.
It now sits proudly in my collection.
