I'll be updating my swap list over the next several days to remove several hundred coins which have been recently sold to fund Abby's legal defence. Things are going well, much better than anticipated for which I'm eternally grateful to many of the members of Numista. I've been emptying my various desks and old albums to find new coins to add and tomorrow I'll be visiting those nice folks at Chase to rummage through the family safe deposit boxes. I'll be adding a lot of new coins as I turn them up, I have a bucketful on my desk right now just waiting until I can find the time.
Anything in my swap list may safely be assumed to be for sale, where possible at a substantial discount. Of course there is much less room to discount silver coins due to their current and potential metal content and more expensive coins can be more flexibly priced than relatively common ones which are already low priced. At the very least I have been able to round the total down some and cover the cost of basic shipping. I think that everyone who has been buying coins has been pleased with the final price and the quality of the coins. (Many have opted to decline the reduced price and have paid in full, in some cases with an extra bit added as a donation. You folks have been just great, thanks!)
So, if you've been wanting to treat yourself to a genuinely rare coin now is the time to do it. I have a lot of scarce and even a few genuinely rare coins or varieties in the $50 - $100+ range. Tons of silver although given the abysmal price per ounce these can't really be discounted below their already gimped price, Old coins, new coins, big coins, tiny coins...... I'm starting to sound like the Mexican doorman in "From Dusk until Dawn". If you've been looking for that key date to complete a series there won't be a better chance to find it at the right price. The bigger the trade, the bigger the potential discount.
I have over 200 successful swaps and trades without any major incidents and I take great care to maintain the highest reputation for honesty and fair play. Of course I make a few errors (as you get older those dates get smaller) but they are fixed quickly and without any fuss. Anything mailed to the US or Canada includes tracking. I don't use registered mail because of the absurd cost in the US so anything mailed outside of North America is sent on the understanding that the risk is yours (I'll provide proof of postage though). I'm happy to arrange registered mail though if you wish to pay for it. I've mailed plenty of high dollar parcels to Europe and further afield and they have all arrived safely. Many of my most prolific trades have been with members outside of the US and these are often in the hundreds of dollars each round.
I don't believe in "stretching" grades to get a few extra dollars, I'd rather make a new friend than a quick buck. I believe that the vast majority of my available coins are conservatively graded to a fault. I've been doing this for over 50 years so there would be something very wrong if I was still not getting it right! Any issues or faults are noted in the comments field so you won't find any nasty surprises when you open the envelope. That's not to say that I don't have off days, of course I do. So I double check the grades and overall condition and if there's anything amiss I make sure to let my partner know before anything is finalized.
So may I invite you to browse my swap list and pick anything that you like the looks of. I'll make you the best offer I can based on everything above. If you don't like it then we can just shake hands and go our separate way as friends. You are NOT under any obligation to accept. Please refer to the comments field and use the prices / grades there to guide your budget. Anything which is already sold or under offer will have a reserved (res) tag. I usually leave them in place as a courtesy to the buyer to give them a chance to make notes of the grade and value if they wish. I reserve coins strictly in the order that they are requested, so if there's a "must have" coin waiting for you in the pages of my swap list then hesitation may lead to disappointment.
Normally I'm happy to accept swaps, junk silver, pretty much anything collectable but under the current circumstances I have a very strong preference for cash or PayPal.
