Hello,
I am a Spanish collector of coins per years. I look for exchanges with others collector, I am in the habit of using the valuation of the catalogue krawse for the changes, but I am opened for any other offer.
Citeer: "Frenchlover"I bet "S.PETRVS" "ROMA" on reverse.
"PONT.MAX" on obverse
Perhaps a "giulio"
There is one exemple close to your coin
From the weight, more probably a Grosso. And yet, the design mostly appears on giulii, soil is possible that if you look at the edge you may find it is a clipped, and so low weight giulio.
I collect anything: If it's Italian or Italian states i collect it even more!
On the obverse under the shield seems to be a dragon. The shield of Cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini?

It looks like but you have to look for a Pope whose shield is a dragon. This is that you put is a lion.

keywords
"SIXTVS V" "S.PETRVS" "ROM" Giulio "PONT.MAX"
Very similar obverse, and similar reverse as well. but still not a match! i'm going to go look through the CNI for Sixtus V now...
Can you check Paulo V? It's the only one I've seen that has a Dragon in the shield

The reverse design is correct, yes, But the obverse is different, if you take the time to look, the legend is different, it ends in an "M" instead of a "VI" also, such things as the key handles are different along with the tiara...i'm not quite sure this is resolved yet! But @Nicola Has gotten us as far as we have been (note though that your CNI reference is for Urbino VII)! Time to go look under Gregorio in the CNI! Also note! The coin is VERY light for a giulio. it is far closer to a Grosso (this being said i'll guess that the coin was clipped and that it is one of the following giuliano from year III).

@loruca The link I posted show a similar coin, not the same one. There are a lot of varieties of 1 Giulio for Gregorio XIII.
Check yourself: CNI vol. XVI pg 66-67 (the legend ends in an "M") as I wrote before.
Citeer: "Nicola"@coinsmcr You're welcome! :)
