I was looking through Ebay for A Thai coin from WWI and found this Baht. I was wondering if it was real?
The listing ends in 6h so I need a quick response.
I also wanted to add that, from my assessment coin looks real. It has all the proper marks, and nothing seems out of the ordinary. The seller has great reviews, and nothing bad on his page. My only issue is that I know this coin is mass produced as fakes in Thailand (I saw many many fakes there). Again the listing ends in 5h so a quick response would be nice.
I bought the coin, and believe that it is real, I just wanted to check up on what the community thought. I am a little concerned about the shading on the coin (but it could just be some cleaning on the top!) Let me know what you think.
Hello Shadowy Egnima,
Yes, I think the coin is real. The dies are exactly equivalent as well as the patina and the toning. This coin is real. But I also suggest, you pass it through the magnetic test. But I love that coin! Sorry, but a Cambodian Piastre from 1800s would not be much smarter then this.
