Hello , mozza in south africa , just found a 1900 aluminium token 2 cm diameter , with eduardus vii facing right , george killing dragon on reverse , wonder why 1900 as victoria still alive and not edward in english , need to identify the country of origin and value , can anyone knowledge on this please
thanks again frenchlover for your quick response , will send a picture as soon as i can , thanks for interest looks just like the ones you have noted but why 1900? and why not in english? ,
A lot of 'older' coins have writing in Latin. England used a lot of Latin.
I do not know exactly when Latin was abandoned, but it was well into the 20th century.
