Colonial & Commonwealth Crown appreciation

Rather than the normal George slaying the dragon or coat of arms, I do really like some of the crowns of the colonial & following era's

My personal favourite is one I'm unlikely to be able to afford any time in the near future

Nice. I like the Bermuda crowns most, because, well, SHIPS!

The 1961SA 50C isn't colonial though. In May 61 South Africa renounced the queen and seceded from the commonwealth (it rejoined in the 90's!) - The 'ENDRAG MAAK MAG' tag is a nationalist one coming from the Boer Republics and heavy dutch influence. It's noticably absent in the colonial period. This also makes the 1960 5s/crown you have interesting, as it's 'celebrating' 50 years of the unity and parliament, whilst espousing the nationalist sentiment. A year later they broke up with the queen, leaving her in tears. Go figure
