I believe it would be useful to add an additional filter when choosing coins for exchange - to show coins which I have only in low grades in my collection. Or to show grade instead of "I own this year" symbol.

The problem with your suggestion about seing the grades, is that there are no grades in the swap section. If I have a coin in XF and then add a "1" in the swap box, it doesn't mean that the coin I have for swap is in XF as well. In fact, it's more likely it's a VF or lower. What this would mean is that there need to be an additional line for your "swapable" coins, where you fill in the grades.

I've already explained with examples in my original threads that my proposal had nothing to do with the grades of the coins being offered for swap, for example, in this one. In short, either swap list filter or grades displayed in somebody's swap list would be the grades of my coins. This would allow for an easy way of potentially upgrading coins in my collection to hopefully better grades (after asking the swap partner about the condition of a coin or for its photo/scan).

But still, unless the grade of the coins in the swap list in written in the comment line, there's still no way to know the grade of the coin in the swap list. So even if the coin I want to upgrade is in F, the coin out for swap might still be in VG or lower.

Right, this would be the first step. If I decide to include such coin into a swap I'd ask the swap partner for a scan/picture and compare to the one I already own.
