For a while, the amount of countries have been switched to the amount of issuers as the amount of countries you have. When will this get fixed, so it will say (for me) 303 countries and 229 issuers?
There will be no switch back, changes involved some "countries" (i.e. see it more as a section) were split into several "issuers".
The count will have more "issuers" than "countries".

I am most likely missing the point. What is the difference between "countries" and "issuers"?

You may see it as a section i.e. "Country" may have several issuers like German states or Italian states.
Example in your numbers: you may have 1 country (i.e. "German states" section) when you have at least 1 coin from 1 state; and if you have 10 coins from 10 different states, you will then have 1 country "German states" as a whole but 10 issuers.
