Why is this in Numista, a bit too off-topic. Go on Reddit, there you will find memes.

This part of the Forum is for free discussion. Which means exactly that. I suggest if you dont have anything constructive to say, you say nothing. The last thing we need on here is a new member mouthing off and creating problems.
Squarerootlolly stop being a jerk. You have only been here a minute! I am really surprised thatcanadianserb sticks around. He is enthusiastic and seems to want to learn and engage others here. You are just an annoying moderator in your own mind. I hope if someone leaves it is you.

Thatcanadianserb you do not owe any apologies. He is a boss in his own mind is all. Why do you feel like that anout your posts? You do much better in English than I would do in Serbian.

First, I state here that I am sorry if I offended anyone here. I just wanted to express my opinion here too but my tone seemed like I am retorting his thoughts.

As you stated, I have only been here a minute! Naturally, I haven't seen any of these posts before, so I was kind of conservative on this. But now that it is proven fine by more experienced users, I know what to do now.

I just wanted to recommend him to Reddit. Personally, I always view Countryball comics and other stuff.

Although I may not sometimes like thecanadianserb's post contents, I highly commend his actions of regular activity in the forum. In the world, we try our best to encourage if possible!

For me, I dislike taking stances. I was just rather conservative.

If you still want me to leave, unfortunately for you I will not leave until at least 2020.

Sorry for the misunderstandings.

Best regards with apologies,
SRL
So, together, let us just take a step back. Why would I welcome other users and assist them in using the site if I was so egocentric and uncharitable? I enjoy going on here and I hope everyone else does.
I do not think anyone really wants you to leave either. Me included. Apologies for my strong tone.

We shouldn't go too hard on canadianserb; (apologies for the assumptions) he's probably just some kid. Even if he claims to have some very rare coins, the worst he's done is annoy some of us a bit with memes. I think he does have a genuine interest in coins, though, but he's just at that phase before he realises not everyone is into pepes and memes just for the lolz, hence the post regret. :(

how can you say this? Squatroot actually has interesting things to say on this site, he is doubting a member who has posted a constant thread of bizarre lies. You are defending a member who is a chronic liar at best....
Dear Canadianserb, if your a kid and not some bloke messing around with our forum, please understand, we would rather have an honest user with a few low vlaue coins than someone who claimed to own many rare coins and saxophones. Just be honest, it will get you much farther.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

To be honest, some of my pre-teenage or teenage friends are quite into MLG, Illuminati, Doritos, Mountain Dew, gaming and stuff. In this case, if you are like them, I would prefer you to post rather in sub-reddits than here, since the main focus of this site is about coin collection.

There is not even a single problem posting this in free discussion. The problem is since not many of us are
interested in these topics, we can hardly give you any constructive feedback. SRL
No need to apologise! I say we cut the tension and move on.  :)

I feel that way about my posts lots of times, I think I'm doing pretty well and then I read it and I hate it. I get very self-conscious about it.
I look at this section of the forum as being available for any member to post an opinion on anything that interests that member, as long as it is not an attack on anyone or a message of hate or intimidation. Those members who are not interested in a particular post (if it is made in a civil manner) can simply close the post and forget it. You don't need to agree with someone to respect their choices of topics to post about. Most forums I have seen have sections for members to express themselves freely on topics unrelated to the particular forum. And some people probably make connections through these forums that they otherwise would not. And unfortunately there always seem to be some people who want to limit the expressions of other people.

And Mona and Cass, I always find your posts informative and thoughtful and enjoy reading them.

I think memes are great, and would love to see more.

True! You can post anything here :)

Just the problem that you would get more attention if you did this on other sites. Numista never limits a fruitful conversation between fellow members.
It's Coinsoldier again I reckon.

Interesting story. He was a long ago con man who caused quite a sensation after he was exposed in a topic started by former Forum King Neilithic which reached it's climax when he faked his own death. I know, it sounds far fetched but despite some unwise and heavy handed moderation, much of the saucy epicness remains. Many of the older forum members remember him, actually quite fondly. I always thought he was a good guy gone bad.

Since then he has returned at regular intervals as a schoolboy, an elderly gent and even once I believe as a female. He also has a varying number of legs and testicles, depending on the current need for sympathy. He's easy to spot - he poses as an inexperienced and naïve collector and gets some perverse joy from wasting everyone's time with increasingly bizarre questions and comments. Sound like someone you know eh?

Interestingly, I know his real name and address which is in a very specific part of Canada with a quite small population. Same place the current account lists on his profile.

Of course this doesn't prove anything. It could all be just a coincidence and that he really is just a curious pre teen with access to an abundance of $25,000 coins which he never manages to be able to take a photo of.

Thanks Phil, I don’t know why but anyone that is trolling the forums lately has been regularly defended by multiple members.
It’s bizarre, just look at how they defend the hamster....
this guy here for example, obviously a Troll, but they defend him. Have you guys not read his other posts?

I appreciate how you are quick to defend and encourage new members, we need more of that, with this particular guy it’s obvious trolling, even if he is a kid, it’s not OK to claim things that are not true. It’s one thing to say immature things, it’s another to claim to own many rare coins.
I honestly was wondering if it was the Ham....
but there is always someone new willing to behave the same way, usually they get bored because for the most part we are pretty level headed and boring here, that’s a good thing.
So thanks for encouraging First!

Can't fool me. You're diet consists of Doritos and Mountain Dew.

Viewed your Personal Website and I see you are a troll on Steam too. Ah yes, just because I am probably 3X your age, doesn't mean I don't know my video games. I wonder how many times you have been kicked off Steam.

As a suggestion you should probably open the curtains in your parents basement occasionally. The spores from the fungi can cause some serious brain trauma.

I'm not afraid to tell but I may be younger than you, thatcanadianserb. But it needs something for others to call me an old soul trapped in a young body.

Sad!

(Disclaimer: As time goes by my suspicions that canadianserb is a troll have gone up, so consider anything I said in his defence earlier revoked)
