Antique items?

6 berichten
I was wondering about starting to collect also antique items.
(Including for example Austria-Hungary, Finland, Russian empire and Belgium).
I was just wondering, before I start shopping ebay and buying a ton of items, is it profitable to buy for example a 1800's silver cup or a item that has belonged to a monarch from the countries above (A signed postcard, a document or even a fork) can I get it cheaper anywhere else than eBay?

Are these sellers trustable?
my tip

stay away from ebay etc., save up and buy from reputable auction houses.

you may also try https://www.invaluable.com/ but there you really must know what you are doing. Still better than ebay though.

Thanks Hamster for sharing didn‘t know this website (invaluable), will look deeper into their offerings.
If you like coins, medals and tokens with ship motives follow my new instagram account with regular updates @numisnautiker
From time to time I sell some coins on Ebay make sure to follow me @apuking on Ebay.
@apuking on invalueable there are a lot minor auction houses competiting. Minor means, less time for provence research ect. Its not always like that but very often.

Thatswhy i meant, you must be a senior collector, then you know the good houses anyway and then you can go on the hunt. ;)
