Hi all! A VERY lucky junk box find, what do you think it could be worth? ( I see what Krauze says, but find it hard to estimate a realistic grade and value!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I'd be surprised if it was fake! Passes everything, weight, diameter, ping and even a basic tabletop XRF analysis!

The 'D' in BRODERFOLKENES looks odd. I could not find a similar.
The crown on the lionshead looks strange
the lines in the oakleafs should be sharper
The dots on the crown, left and right are different
The leafs to the right of the 4 is different
This coin is rather rare, but it can be found in large amounts on internet
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces15295.html
I would not be too enthousiastic about this coin (but I could be very wrong, hopefully)

Thanks for taking the time to write out your worries!
1) The D is in fact correct, but a spot of white where the coin didn't tone well gives it a weird blotchy appearance
2) The crown on the Lion's head is ugly, but identical to that on real coins,
3) I'm not sure I see the difference can you be a bit more precise?
4) the dots on the crown have been flattened by wear, but I see your point
5) once again, I'm not sure I see the difference can you be a bit more precise?
If you compare my coin to any fakes on the web, you'll immediately see a massive difference in the precision of the beading surrounding the coin, this is usually a dead giveaway, in addition the coin XRF's as silver and weighs 14.96 grams. Very precise for a fake!
I look forwards to hearing back as the fakes out there ARE getting better and better....

I do not have the coin in my hands, so it is difficult to compare all the details.
If you are convinced it is real, than you have a nice find.
I would like to find also such junk boxes...:8D

Really nice find you got there! All the details are matching, so if the weight is correct i would say it is authentic.
You can get this coin locally in Norway for about 1200-1500 NOK, which is about 150-190$.

If your coin is genuine: How is it possible, that the horizontal lines within the crown look so worn on your coin? These lines are protected by the higher relief of the vertical bars of the crown, so I guess the horizontal lines should look - at worn coins (as yours is) too - like in right picture (from Numista-coin page).

Good question! I think it's only an effect of the toning, see here some better quality images.

Do you still think that it is more worn than it should be?

Your last 2 pictures show the details of the crown much better. According to these 2 pictures I guess your coin does not look more worn than it should be. So, congratulation to your junk-box-find!
