To whoever is in charge of validating change requests:

You recently rejected some of my photos, saying "Please don't replace Numista's original images." I thought this seemed over-sensitive - the photos I was replacing were of coins covered in verdigris (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces1913.html) or else the photos were of low quality or a worn coin (hard to tell which: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces512.html). Otherwise I wouldn't be bothering - it's not for my own amusement! I'm just trying to improve the quality. Surely that's reasonable?
Hey alastor,

I understand the fact that the coin does have verdigris. Trust me, I've seen some good photos that could certainly replace the original Numista photos. But it's best to preserve the original photos.

And I'm sure that the wheat triangle is on the obverse, regardless if the country title is on the reverse.

That doesn't really explain why... If you're concerned about the photo credit, you can have it if you really want. But it seems backward to keep inferior photos just for the sake of it.
Well,

It's about the heritage of the picture rather than the quality. If you're extremely forward towards replacing the photos, I guess it'd have to happen.
