Today, with the help of two exchanges arriving in the post, I have passed through a personal target of 15,000 items, where no two are the same.
My total today is 15,024, which includes 12 tokens and 114 exonumia.
Now, I need to get to just 15,000 different coins.
I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

Congratulations on a personal milestone!

By "listings" I assume you mean collectible items, incl. those you collect outside of coins (e.g. banknotes, medals, etc.)?
No,
It is just those listed on Numista.
Banknotes and military medals are not included.
I have 12 listed as tokens, 114 listed as exonumia and the remaining 14,898 are coins listed by type and not by date. I only collect by type.
I now need to get another 102 coins for my next target. Swapping seems to be my best way of achieving this.

That is over 14 times of mine :snif:

Congratulations on achieving your milestone! That is such a great deal.

Happy collecting.
Quite impressive! Just out of curiosity how many of your coins are common circulation ones?
Absolutely no idea. Quite a few I expect. Please do not ask me to count them.
I do have lots of commemoratives, so they would not be included.

congrats, mate! i hope you're not planning on moving anytime soon. ;)
No, I'm not.
Got to sort out the coins that were delivered yesterday. That will take me a while as I add them to my own database as well, which is just a spreadsheet, but needs to be typed in.
Have to referee a cup semi-final tomorrow, then six a side tomorrow evening. Good job I am retired.

when i joined numista i had a goal to reach the 300 countries club. i later gave up that, because i just didn't want to buy a coin just because it's a new country - i wanted to get coins i really was interested in.
there were also a few guys who had 10,000+ coins, and i thought "wow, i too want to reach the 10,000 coins point." now, 3 years later, has 7,000+ coins, and been moving abroad - and back, am not that interested. it weighs a lot, takes a lot of space, and i am having trouble to organise it. so i'm more thinking to decrease it, maybe go down to 5,000 coins and the see what i'll do.
i've been more and more focusing on my banknotes collection too, and it feels like it is taking over more, so i really hope numista will open up a sister site for banknote.

Now that there is a sentiment I identify with! I've bought several 1€ coins just because they were from new countries/issuers I didn't yet have in Numista... Then I had exactly that thought you did. Trouble was the coins I liked were from obscure historical issuers; I can't tell you how happy I was to get Kiau Chau one day.

Anyway, later the country list got rearranged and the 300 club went up in smoke, so it was for naught anyway.
Matt,
According to the Numista website, the weight of my collection is 168.3kg.
This will grow today as I am having a first ever, face to face meeting with another Numista collector. My second face to face meeting is early next month. This is, as you can imagine, very exciting.
My collection is, in my opinion, well organised.
When I started collecting, the coins I obtained went anywhere in my coin albums, but I then realised that I got doubles, so a complete organisation was required.
I took every coin from the albums and firstly put the into the correct continent, then into respective country.
These countries were then put in some sort of order buy using the world globe. I only had around 1,500 at this time
Jersey was number 1 and New Zealand was number 78. Each new country was the just added on. I am now up to 307. These are arranged my way and does not use the Numista way of country/issuer.
My GB collection is not included in these numbers or weight, as I only use Numista for my foreign coins.

Personal target update.
Today was a great day, as I had a great face to face exchange with a great collector, and now, I have listed a total of 15,128 coins, of which, 12 are tokens and 115 exonumia.
This means that I now have 15,001 coins on Numista, with no two being the same reference number.
Definitely class this as a great day.
