Hi all,

I was wondering if someone can help me with the value and some background information of this token https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces53234.html
½ Penny Norfolk – Norwich

On ebay and elsewhere they seem to be selling for about $25-75. Being that that is a very big price range I was wondering what the value of my token is (images below).

I would also be interested in some of the history as this is really outside my knowledge range.

My Token is DH #38 (with edge inscription)

Thanks,
Aaron

Hi Aaron, Conder token are very popular in the UK as most towns and cities in Britain appear to have produced at least 1 back in the 1700's to 1800's (a lot to collect), some people just collect Conder tokens and not much else. They're mostly related to the industrial revolution that changed the face of Britain back in the day, you can find Conder tokens from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland across the board. Yours is a good example and would sell for around £15 to £25 on a good day ($20 to $30 USD). I have this token but yours is better condition, if you want to swap I like it.
( $75 would be for a near mint condition)
