Not that I am a competitive person,:°, But I would like to see the largest number of different coins in a collection, also largest number of coins, countries, issuers posted on the home page. I am not interested in who that collection belongs too. - thank you, Randy
Yeah, that would be interesting... maybe the record(s) could be public but the holder remain anonymous?
Agreed! I love statistics and records!

That is interesting... click "all" and after waiting for it to load, click on "Coins".

Apparently member with most coins recorded on Numista is relatively new (joined March 2018).

You mean the 23306 guy from Armenia? Real account? xD
@Salaciton

Nah, there's an account called "Testing123" above him with a tremendous amount of recorded coins, who also joined March 2018 and has no country recorded:

Only two members out of the top ten are actually active on the forums (from my observation)

Ah well the Testing123 is probably a fake account or made by one of the website mods for testing as the name says, that's why I thought you probably meant the number two guy, whom I think isn't active. The no.3 guy does have some swap history, probaly real account, dunno if he's active :)
Good thinking but as far as I'm aware there's already a testing account, called demo.
If you have 337665 coins from only 3 countries, either you're a terrible coin hoarder or it's a fake account. I'm guessing that would be between 1000 and 2000kg of coins !!! :snif:
Pity he doesn't have his collection public ;-) Has also been marked for suspicious behaviour.

Can't moderators delete this kind of obvious fake accounts (same applies to some of those spamming accounts that pop up from time to time, the posts get deleted but I've noticed (some) accounts stay active.
Just call me Bram

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!
Record data is of course not always comparable, if someone collects up to 5000 coins of the same type ... yes of course they'll have a high number of coins in their collection

It's quite impressive to see how many different coins have been collected by some of the users here and to see the different ways some users collect (type, year, by countr, by continent, by theme, only 1 or more than one per year, ...), but as everyone collects in his own way I don't think comparing them is of any use. I recently started to collect original rolls of €2 commemoratives, but if I insert them in Numista there's really no point comparing this amount to someone just trying to complete the San Marino cointypes.

Indeed BramVB, I agree with both of your posts!

But however for the amount of coins, some members are not compareable, some other statistics are. It would be nice to see amount of countries/issuers etc that was also mentioned in the original post to start this thread :)
As mentioned above, some crazy people will always appear making tests or unrealistic collections and thus such data would be totally unrealiable.

BramVB - I agree, the total number of coins is not a very comparable statistic for me to use for the reasons you cited. The largest Different coins, countries and issuers would be a fun statistic for me to follow.

I never noticed the member list link on the forum page - learn something new every day!

Thanks all!
In theory it's a good idea, however, as Jarcek pointed at, I don't think it will be reliable.
It could incitate some users to add fictive coins in their collection to brag or to do some jokes in purpose to have the biggest number of countries/issuers/coins of the community.
