I have here a coin measuring 2.4 cm, the provenance of which is unknown to me.
Please help me in identifying it.

It makes me think of Indo-bactrian coinage but I know close to nothing about this coinage. I won't be very helpful.
Yes it looks Indo-Greek (Indo-Bactrian). I don't think I'm allowed to post links to the Wildwinds site here, but you can search there for similar coins. This coin looks very similar to: Hippostratos. c 65-55 BC. AR Tetradrachm. Western Punjab mint. Diademed and draped bust right / King on horseback right; monograms around. MIG 445a. I would examine it quite carefully, though, because Indo-Greek coins have been widely counterfeited.
