2 Roman coins to identify

7 berichten
Hi,

got 2 roman coins this evening and now I need help from the veterans in roman coinage to identify them.

(The third coin is a Brazil 10 centavos for size comparison)

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Up, I still need help, I don't know even on what emperor to look (my only guess is Constantinian Era).

On Wildwinds I've tried looking on the Constantinian Era, the first coin looks like the Constantius II AE2 from Siscia, but it's not it since there's no letter behind the emperor's neck. On the second coin I'm completely clueless.
The later roman coins are very hard to identify in such a condition (at least for me) but I think the one in the middle could be Julian II. He had a beard on his later coin portraits which made his coins some of the last with individual portrait features. You could compare the reverses here: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/julian_II/t.html .
But I cant say it for sure so dont judge me if I'am wrong :).
New photos:

Took them with a friend's camera. Perhaps they need some light adjustement.

On #1 there's clearly a warrior/emperor with a crowning Victory, but it's not the one I mentioned yesterday.
On #2 there's a person, something at left of him and a letter at right of him.

@alfonz thanks for the hint, I'll check it.
Edit.: no, it's not one of them. There's one or another similar, but on my coin the fieldmark is on the right (D?).
Well on your first pictures the coins looked a bit like Julian but on the ones you posted now not anymore. Looking at the new pictures I would guess the second one is Valentinian I ( http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/valentinian_I/i.html ). It is hard to see but he got many coins with reverses that look like it could be yours, just compare some or maybe you can read those few letters left to the emperors head and compare them to the legend of other Valentinian coins (with a bit of fantasy I can read "...lenti..." there ;) ).

And there it is!
Valentinian I AE3 from Siscia (RIC IX 14a, type xiii), already on Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces76033.html.

Thanks! One solved!

Now I need help only on the first coin.
I think I found out the first coin, but need confirmation from an expert.

Behind the head I found a CAD, and the first name that came to mind was Arcadius. Looked at his page on Wildwinds (http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/arcadius/t.html) and there it was. Now I need to check if it's from Alexandria, Antioch, Constantinople or Cyzicus.

Edit: most likely Antioch. Judging from the Wildwinds photos it's a RIC X 70, type Γ, already on Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces62624.html.
