Error coin from Italy?

I need help identifying this coin. It may be error or fake. It has the face of King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy on both sides, and sadly no denomination.
The inscription says: VITT. EM. III RE. E. IMP.
It should be a 10 centesimi, copper but it looks lead. Can you weight it?

Perhaps a contemporary forgery? Lead was a common material to make fakes in until WWII, but that was mostly for silver coins....
