I am searching an organizer for my collection (like excel or something). Can someone help me about that? I have heard there is a program on numista but didnt find yet.
You can export your collection to an Excel file by clicking the Export button on the bottom of the "My Coins" tab, which is what I think you mean; but you have to record your collection on Numista first.
Thanks for answer but i mean i want to start to add my coins to a program not on website. I am new about this. If you can help i will be glad. (Excel or a program that i can put my information). Later on i will put it here on numista.
I have all of my coins listed on my own database, although it is also listed on Numista.
I list mine by the following headings.
Country. Face Value. Date. Obverse description. Reverse description. Km# or other reference No.
Using Excel means you can use its search facility to hunt for individual coins if necessary.
I have used Excel for a long time and find it very easy to use.
Problem is that you have to manually add all of the above details. Once you collection is completely added, it then becomes easy, just to add the next few you get.
You may also find out that you have coins in your collection that are not on the Numista database, so you can add it.
Thanks for your answer coinman. My plan is like you did but i am not so good in excel and now i am searching a program or example excel that i can use. Happy to be here btw.

I would put it on Numista first if I were you; that way after you're done you can just click the export button to have your coins on a program like Excel.
After all, why double your workload by manually adding your coins on Excel and then on Numista, when you can get the Excel list automated by listing your coins first on Numista?
I created my own database in MS Access. It's fast, easy to search and can be exported to Excel or most any other DB format. I exported my Numista data to Excel, then imported it into my Access DB.
I would definitively recommend to enter your coins in the Numista database. It's easy and you can take advantage of all the additional information related to your coins provided by the Numista database
Later you can export on excel.
There is also a software to extract all data related to your coin from the Numista database :
For each of your coins you can get:
- Country
- Ref.
- Link
- Coin type
- Year
- Mint
- Quantity
- Exchange
- Grade
- Currency
- Value
- Year min (gregorian)
- Year max (gregorian)
- Special Calendar used
- Calendar Year min
- Calendar Year max
- Type
- Metal
- Weight (g)
- Diameter (mm)
- Thickness (mm)
- Shape
- Orientation
- Demonetized
- Bullion value (EUR)
- Numista Rarity Index a glimmer in some eyes ...
Excellent Numista addon for export, created by Numista members for Numista members.
He completes the export for a personal management of both his collection and his doubles.
It is easy then, without great knowledge of Excel, to add a column or columns for personal information comments.
I recommend.

Could you point me to such software? I find the "Export collection to Excel" limited in the fields exported and I rather not have to manually enter the missing information :-)
In case author or someone else is looking for a good coin organizer software, I'd like to share this coins inventory tool - My Value Collection: https://nuclear.coffee/MyValueCollection

Hi Coinman1,
I have started a new database in Excel - cataloguing my collection. Joined Numista a few days ago. Didn't realise I could have added all this to the Numista database.
Can you please tell me how to use the search facility in Excel. I have tried and failed. Is it a macro that needs programmed or is it very simple.
Thanks for your help.

Can you please tell me how to use the search facility in Excel.
I only have Libre Office but it looks like Excel and on mine it is lower left ...
and is called Find and not sure if it automatically appears there or if it has to be
created in a toolbar. I guess Excel is similar.

This Excel macro is not useful anymore since the Numista export tool is configurable
in Excel, LibreOffice, OpenOffice 2 solutions : CTRL+Fhttps://fr.numista.com/catalogue/pieces221101.html
Tool Auto-Filter in the column header cell ♥ → : sorts, filters, searches while keeping all the columns

Hello,
The easiest way to search using your excel file is to click ctrl+f and type the one you are looking.
I started my collection last month, by that time I do not know Numista yet- i used excel for my coin inventory. As I keep on searching for coin details I landed on Numista page - from my excel I encoded it again to Numista - wish I found it earlier.
Im glad I found Numista - it makes me manage my collection easier.
